Echoes From the Void: Pioneering Research Survives Station Tragedy
Posted by: Mara Mancini, MandalTech
Date: Year 26 Day 142 Onboard the Kandosii-type Dreadnaught MSC Senna in system Kessa (396, 72).

Reporting from Karedda

In the past weeks, Mandalorian Vanguards were despatched to secure Honoghran and Kessel space at the request of the local populations, following the detection of a distress signal from what had previously been considered an abandoned research station in The Maw.

Uncertain of the signal's origin, several cohorts were deployed from the battlegroup to investigate. Construction crews immediately began work on large defence platforms, while military squadrons under the command of Mand`alor Zachill DeSol navigated the hazardous, black hole-filled system. Upon boarding the station, they discovered its automated security systems had become dangerously unstable.

While some forces led by Teroch Qir-zan conducted a search for the signal's source, others under Darr Korris worked to restore critical systems, all while under continuous assault from the station's defences.

The scientist who had issued the signal was, regrettably, found deceased. His work, however, was judged to be of considerable significance. Under relentless attacks from the station’s automated security, the Mandalorian forces extracted the data and withdrew, their efforts hindered. They couldn’t save the scientist, but honour demanded what comes next: the unfinished data was sent to his trusted colleague in the Quintas system.

During the long transit from The Maw to Quintas, the recovered schematics underwent thorough analysis, producing remarkable findings. Darr Korris, one of MandalMotors lead scientists, presented an initial analysis, noting parallels to MandalMotors naval technology as well as potential links to MandalTech planetary systems. Joint analysis with Mara Mancini, leading a team of experts from MandalTech, has yielded preliminary findings suggesting the schematics are referencing both a drone and a droid - a breakthrough promptly documented and transferred to the research team at Quintas Station. The information was received with great interest.

On Day 137 of Year 26, as Honoghran space defences neared completion, a message of progress was received from Quintas. According to the report, the delivered blueprints had already yielded promising results in the development of a new droid.

While the full extent of the breakthrough remains to be seen, the peoples of Kessel and Honoghr can be assured — Mandalore stands vigilant, the commitment to the safety of its citizens unchanged.
