Who Are the Whisperer's Network?
[An EDITORIAL]
Simply put The Whisperer's Network is a News Network whose aim is to bring News to the Galaxy with no Government molestation and with as near to the actual truth as we can divine. We employ a network of sentients drawn from across the galaxy,from ex-intelligence officers to miners working at illegal mining sites out on the rim and beyond. They beaver away rooting out the truth and forwarding that to our crack editorial droids at the TWN Broadcasting Centre in the Trans Nebular Sector. All the reports gathered by our independent reporting teams are fact checked and verified as much as is possible before broadcast. We strive to ensure that every piece of information we give you is correct. unbiased and unspun.
Despite several accusations that TWN is a front for a large galaxy spanning spy network, we are nothing of the such. We only employ such individuals whose convictions align with our philosophy of remaining a neutral party in the wider galactic civil war, whether they be ex-Imperials, or like our founder a former New Republic senator. We take no side so that we can remain impartial in our coverage of struggles of the wider galactic population. Other unfounded accusations are that we are funded by an outside organisation. This is also untrue. TWN was started by Bram Dupol and was funded solely from his own pocket.
Despite our neutrality we will and have in the past reported on such diverse subjects such as accusations against various parties who had been reportedly enslaving various sentients and forcing them to work in mines. On that particular occasion the accused was found to be only too willing to prove their innocence. The truth however, was unfortunately a little more complicated than it at first seemed and we later discovered that although the ‘slaves’ were not being mistreated they were being forced to work in the most hazardous conditions imaginable. Eventually our findings were reported to the Galactic authorities, who let’s be honest, given their track record may prove to be a futile effort.
To this day our pilot’s are still flying dangerous missions to support the refugee efforts and provide humanitarian assistance to the dispossessed inhabitants. We, as a faction, are dead set on eradicating the scourge of slavery and freeing the enslaved masses of the Galaxy wherever we may find them.
From our Broadcasting Center at 24-T-131 Theta, we strive to gather, sift, and clarify information for use in our broadcasts. Our facility is state of the art, boasting of 4.85 tetraquads of incoming bandwidth and a broadcast system capable of reaching the farthest corners of our galaxy. We the Whisperer’s Network are dedicated to bring you the News from across the vastness of our galaxy from Arkanis to Zeltros, we are the watchers, the listeners, the speakers, the friendly spirits who haunt the shadowed places of the galaxy, risking our lives to keep you informed.
