Glom Tho Gala Concludes
Posted by: Xanxus Drol, Crimson Dawn
Date: Year 26 Day 9 Onboard the Fury-class Imperial Interceptor [CDC] Countermanded Prayer in system Glom Tho (-123, 172).

The Glom Tho Gala, hosted by Crimson Dawn, was reportedly a great success on a number of fronts, from guest turnout and engagement to vendor success and raffles and fun events. The Gala drew crowds from diverse segments of the galaxy, sometimes people at odds with each other. Despite this, Crimson Dawn's guarantee of safety to all guests and its demanded requirement of mutual respect for all guests between one another was a condition well held and appreciated by many.

From high level government leaders and diplomats from around the galaxy to traders big and small and organizations far and wide, the Gala's guest list was extraordinary. Guests who attended found themselves mixed together at a great feast, they found themselves racing gonks on foot, they found themselves involved in a scavenger hunt and other similar events. Also to be seen was a fight, sanctioned by Crimson Dawn to take place fairly, La-La Ju vs Akasha Ru Tauk which lasted several rounds but ultimately ended in a draw.

Then their were raffles and auctions, including a 50/50 credit raffle that had a pot almost reaching 300,000,000 credits, won by Umora Fain. Crimson Dawn, not hosting a swap meet, charged a “vendor permit fee” of 1,500,000 credits, which was waived in some circumstances. Several people and organizations placing vendors spoke very highly in regard to sales versus the permit fee, Subduco claimed the Gala was the second best event they had set up shop at. And of course we cannot forget the Droid Expo which took place throughout the week!

The Gala itself was meant to symbolize a year of government status and independence from Zann for the Crimson Dawn people, who position themselves as a neutral state. Several groups were forbidden from attendance. Blue Star was prohibited due to a past of childish diplomatic behavior, known at times for throwing rotten fruit at diplomats. Mandalore was prohibited for poor diplomacy, and Faerytale was prohibited based off a board of mental health doctors findings surrounding the ‘leaders’ actions and reviews of holofootage where the leader ‘reviews news articles’ and essentially makes wild presumptions and insultive commentary, typically making the videos more for a handful of people rather then any real audience. It was felt these 3 groups would present problems for the Gala if they were allowed entry.

Xanxus Drol, High Priest of Crimson Dawn, said this about the event “We had a really good time, security was flawless, everything went smoothly. I want to thank again everyone who came out and partied with us, everyone who helped put the event together, and all the sponsors who helped us, including IPS, Muurian, Dorinian Military Corps, Tanis, Solomon Xander, and a host of other people! You rock!”

Crimson Dawns Glom Tho Gala ended its weeklong festivities this weekend with a bang, as Ximaro Jix of Zann  transferred the planet Glom Tho II to Crimson Dawn in recognition of their accomplishments. Ximaro himself was present for the later portion of the event, and made the announcement  “Moment of your time. First of all, I'll like to thank you all for your peaceful attendance and understanding of the separation between Crimson Dawn and Zann” Ximaro paused before continuing.

“The respect all of you have shown despite ongoing conflicts is not easily explained by words. I would also like to acknowledge Daimyo Xanxus Drol for his determination and continued dedication to what he stands for paving the way for Crimson Dawn to be a successful galactic entity, on his own by his own choice.” Ximaro once again paused to give weight to his words.

“So it is because of that I will be handing over all rights and assets as well as planetary ownership of Glom Tho II and everything on it to Xanxus and Crimson Dawn, so that his legitimate enterprise may continue to thrive and be successful.....and the Parcel Service can be happy Zann is no longer in the system. Cheers to my extended family Crimson Dawn and my brother Xanxus Drol. You reached for the stars and did what many swore you could not.” Ximaro concluded, leading to cheers and applause from many in the gathering.

The people of Glom Tho II have reportedly been requesting this change to Zann for some time now, and many have immigrated to Glom Tho I in recent times. It is believed the planet Glom Tho II will see rapid growth under its new theocratic government.
