With origins as a waste management outfit for the Zann Consortium, little is known about the Crymorah Syndicate, only that they demonstrate ruthless efficiency in their operations and live in secrecy. It is believed, though not confirmed, that within the Crymorah crime family, the organization is divided into different subgroups, each governing their own business autonomously while paying tribute to the leader of Crymorah. Known as clans, these smaller families are run by underbosses and lieutenants, who are believed to be the most efficient and capable members at steering each clan's objectives.
 
In a galaxy already scarred by violence, it's difficult to discern the difference between Crymorah and other criminal entities, including their former identity as Zann . This practice is what the Crymorah call "illusion." The illusion allows them to conceal membership and actions while maintaining objective discipline and success in clandestine operations. These actions underline a key point of professionalism and operational security.
 
Living by what is known as the "blood oath," Crymorah adopts a ritualistic practice where members remove appendages or suffer extreme punishments if they violate their vow of silence. With the blood oath demanding actions as payment, Crymorah are linked to a host of criminal activities. It is also rumored that Crymorah involve themselves heavily in legitimate business operations to fund their law-breaking enterprise, but this has never been proven.
